We have a fun one today. It’s about a guy who believes so strongly in the idea of launching multiple businesses that he started 20 businesses in the last two years.
Let’s begin.
The Story of Marc
Marc (with a C) was a simple guy (often called a loser) back in 2021. He was living with his parents, depressed, had no purpose, and definitely had zero income.
He was spending most of his day browsing Twitter, and that’s how he came across the idea of building in public and launching fast (search for both on Twitter if you have time).
He was so inspired by tweets from different successful accounts that Marc decided on something HUGE.
He would move to Bali and work every day for the next two years to build internet businesses.
And that’s exactly what he did.
He started building small products (they were so small that you couldn’t even call them businesses).
We’ll give you a few examples.
Check out Naval25, a website Marc created where you can vote for your favorite Naval quote (Naval Ravikant is a famous internet entrepreneur).
He also created NavalAi, where you can get advice from Naval’s chatbot.
He then built This, a way to fake Stripe sales notifications.
Another one is 50 Hacks, featuring the top 50 productivity hacks voted on by the internet.
And the list goes on and on.
The Philosophy Behind Starting 20 Businesses and Not 1
It’s easier to do lots of small things than one big thing.
Starting anything is easy. It only gets difficult once you try to grow it. What if you don’t grow it? What if you start and then move to the next thing?
If you try many things, the probability of success is higher.
If you start 20 things and really work hard on each of them, the chances of being successful are much higher than for someone who starts one thing and works just fine on it.
Marc now has 20 businesses that generate over $50,000/month for him.
Each business alone is not that big.
For example, check out Indiepa, a way to showcase businesses to other people. This one generates $1.2k/month for Marc.
His biggest strength is being able to handle a lot of projects without deep-diving into just one.
We found this very interesting because it shows that there are different models for success.

We recommend spending an hour on this over the weekend and checking out all his businesses—not for the ideas, but for his execution style and how quickly he built each one.
We think you’ll enjoy this different process of building a business.
